Hynes & McCormack was established by the late A.A.R Hynes in 1910 at the School of Arts building in Murwillumbah. It moved to its current premises in 1919 where it has continued to be a family-run sole practice. We are a small firm, but we provide you with comprehensive legal services.


As a sole practitioner, Peter McCormack personally manages legal matters for clients. Peter is a certified member of Property Exchange Australia (PEXA) and electronic conveyancing accredited (ECA). He is also a member of the Cabarita/Pottsville Beach Lions Club and was also the recipient of a Melvin Jones Fellowship award, which was given in recognition of his outstanding humanitarian work.


For your convenience, there are 2 offices. The main office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm (closed between 1:00pm–2:00pm and located in one of Murwillumbah’s heritage buildings on the first floor).


We also have a satellite office in Cabarita Beach operating on Tuesdays and Thursday from 2:00pm–5:00pm or by appointment.
